Y Hangry

The Brand

Yhangry is a private chef marketplace, where anybody can book a chef whenever they want to socialise at home.  For the price of a restaurant, users can choose the meals and the chef who will come and cool directly in their home. 

The Brief

As their marketing lead, I worked with them on a strategy to define how to respond to the Covid outbreak and still get host to book a chef at home. 

The Work

The strategy was of course to first keep the campaigns paused during lockdown.

As soon as lockdown was over, we started advertising capitalizing on the following messages: 

  • Being at home is safer than going to the restaurants (less encounters)
  • The chefs are all vaccinated and have to test themselves before coming to anybody's houses
  • Hosting friends with a chef at home brings the fun back after a depressing Covid era.

The Results

Performance was really strong from day 1 with a ROAS of more than 400% on both Google Ads and Facebook ads. On top of that, we noticed that around 10% of the guests who were invited by a host  who previously had converted with an ad tended to book again at their home within the next 3 months.
